Dates: March 19, 2013 - March 20, 2013

Location: Zurich

The Grid Computing Competence Center (GC3) at the University of Zurich is hosting a two-day training on the Python framework GC3Pie on March 19-20, 2013.

GC3Pie is a Python framework to aid in submitting and controlling batch jobs and dynamic workflows to cloud and clusters resources seamlessly.

GC3Pie is especially suited for rapid development of scripts that run large job campaigns on diverse batch-oriented execution environments as well as on cloud infrastructures like the GC3 cloud Hobbes and Amazon's EC2.

The two-day course covers the basics of GC3Pie programming from scratch to the development of workflows. At the end of the two-day training, participants should be able to program scientific application workflows using GC3Pie classes, and build the support scripts that allow large-scale runs of those applications and workflows.
